Renee Williams is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Equitable Access College Consulting, a mission-driven firm dedicated to advancing equity in higher education through personalized, student-focused college planning and strategic advising. With a background in Communications and Public Relations, and more than a decade of leadership in education administration and youth workforce development, Renee offers a comprehensive and strategic approach to improving access and outcomes for historically underserved students.

Equitable Access College Consulting was founded in 2017, inspired by Renee’s personal journey helping her son navigate the college admissions process. Confronted with a lack of accessible, inclusive guidance, she launched the firm to provide expert, culturally responsive support to students and families—particularly first-generation and low-income communities. Since then, Renee has empowered countless students to access higher education opportunities that once felt out of reach.

Her professional experience includes key leadership roles such as Director of Student Development and Director of Strategic Partnerships, where she led large-scale initiatives in college access, career readiness, and family engagement. Renee has also served as a consultant on projects focused on college affordability, including efforts to expand access to 529 college savings plans.

In addition to her consulting and program leadership, Renee has spent the past 10 years serving on the boards of nonprofit organizations committed to upward mobility, educational equity, and community transformation. Her board leadership reflects a deep-rooted commitment to systems-level change and long-term impact.

She also lends her voice and expertise to academic advisory boards at higher education institutions, where she contributes to shaping inclusive policies, programs, and curriculum that better support diverse student populations.

Renee’s leadership, both strategic and service-oriented, continues to drive meaningful change—empowering students, supporting families, and strengthening pathways to lifelong success.
